Glass Restoration FAQ

In many cases, yes. Light and moderate scratches can often be restored. Deep scratches need assessment, especially if they are close to edges, corners, fittings or cut-outs.

Do you repair car windscreens or automotive glass?

No. Dr Scratchless focuses on residential, commercial, retail, construction and architectural glass restoration. We do not target windscreen or vehicle glass work.

Is glass polishing cheaper than replacement?

Often, yes. If the glass is suitable for restoration, polishing can avoid the cost and delay of replacing the whole panel.

Can you remove hard-water stains from shower screens?

Yes, where the glass is suitable. We remove hard-water staining, mineral marks and cloudy buildup from shower screens and other glass surfaces.

Can you remove acid graffiti from shopfront glass?

Yes, in many cases. Acid etching and graffiti damage need assessment, but suitable panels can often be restored without replacement.

Can all glass be restored?

No. Some glass is too damaged, too risky or affected by coatings that cannot be safely polished. We will assess the glass and explain your options.

What photos should I send for a quote?

Send one close-up photo of the damage, one wider photo showing the whole panel, and one photo from an angle where the scratch or stain is visible. Also include your suburb and the type of glass.
